He’d broken his phone? Ah, that was a pain, but they could work around it. Of all of them, Kano was probably the one that needed a phone the most, since he was always out and about and they rarely knew where he was. But Seto was sure that among the group of them they could find a phone that worked somehow. It might not be pretty, but it’d function.
"How’d you get kicked out?" he asked absently as he dug his own phone out and started drafting a text to send to Kido. She didn’t have to know he was sending it from the doorstep. And, although it definitely wasn’t the first place Kano would get kicked out of, they’d have to add it to placed to watch out for future, even if Kano could disguise himself anyway.
He sent the text and then pushed Kano away from the door, guiding him with a hand on his back. It’d be no good if Kido looked out the window and saw them there. She’d make them go in for sure, and then she’d yell at Kano, and Seto entirely understood why he would want to avoid that.
"Warm food would be best," he replied with a laugh. The cold mist bit into his bones, especially at his forearms and shins, and he could practically feel Kano’s ribs through his hoodie and shirt, so he had to be even colder.
{ K } ➤ “Oh right, the weather sucks.”
Seto was probably cold, too, thanks to him. Great job, self. On the bright side, at least the promise of food would keep them happy. Haha, Kido was sure missing out. But then again, if they decided to invite her given the current condition… A brief shudder at the thought. Hnn… Should he save some leftovers for her? What food did he even want? To be honest, he had no idea. He was never too good at making statements about himself.
“Seto-nii can choose. I don’t care, really.” He grinned at that, eyes glancing to Seto’s phone. “Oh, just tell me when Danchou replies.”
Still laughing quietly to himself, he took a few steps in front of Seto. They were still near the house, where that ghost girl with the violent tendencies lurked. The complete opposite of where he wanted to be. So it would be easiest to prop on some mask – does it really matter which? – and abscond as quickly as possible. Oh, what a familiar situation.
“A-ahh… It’s kinda a funny story, you see…"
A secret?
…An "I don’t want to bore you with details”?
“I saw some chill guys playing cards and hustled them? Not really a big deal, haha, but one of them got pretty mad and made a fuss.” Hm… It wasn’t even too bad a trick either. They were playing for small money anyway. “Don’t tell anyone though. It doesn’t really matter, I mean. It’s not like they’ll remember me by this face.”
Hm? Seto-nii would make a pretty good hustler, too. He looked pretty innocent, but if he put the mind-reading thing to work… Ne, but that would be too cruel. Seto was working hard at an actually decent part-time job. And he could actually live without the temptation of constant trickery and deception.
The winds were sure picking up. Hm… What good restaurants did he know of? Whatever. Seto had good connections and a good taste. Wherever he wanted to go would be fine…
